With emergency crews only just beginning to address the astronomical damage caused by tropical storm Helene, the next devastating storm is already on the way. And the worst storm to come? Trump’s Project 2025 in November unless we defeat it together.

Our Postal Service will never be safe as long as Louis DeJoy, Trump’s mega-donor choice, remains Postmaster General. To ensure that mail voting remains a secure, reliable option for millions of voters and to protect the integrity of this election, the Senate must immediately confirm Marty Welch and Val Demings to the Postal Service Board of Governors so DeJoy can be fired and his disastrous policies reversed.

Trump and his Heritage Foundation cronies have laid out a comprehensive plan to dismantle the foundation of our immigration system and deport millions of immigrants living and working here. We must reject it.

Does your community want to keep loaded, hidden guns out of parks, stores, or childcare centers? If Trump’s Project 2025’s implemented, you can’t. Has your state passed universal background checks, red flag laws, and safe storage requirements? If Trump’s Project 2025 is implemented, they’ll disappear. The only way to prevent these outcomes is to keep Trump out of the White House.

Trump’s Project 2025 endeavors to create an authoritarian country governed by biblical principles that “restore the family” by eliminating civil liberties for particular communities. The LGBTQ+ community tops the list.

Spooked by voters’ negative reactions to Trump’s Project 2025 reproductive rights agenda, Trump is desperately trying to appear moderate. We must not be fooled, however, because Project 2025 is relying on the Reconstruction-era Comstock Act to to effectively outlaw abortion nationwide without Congressional action. Congress must repeal it immediately.

Trump’s Project 2025 will ruthlessly destroy the ability of millions of workers in both the private and public sectors. His agenda also calls for raising the retirement age for Social Security, which effectively cuts benefits. Trump’s claim he has anything to do with Project 2025 is nothing but a lie to protect his campaign from wide-scale backlash as citizens learn the details of this mean-spirited reactionary project.

SCOTUS’ MAGA supermajority is already implementing Trump’s highly unpopular and extremely dangerous Project 2025 policies. To stop Trump and the MAGA supermajority from further taking away our freedoms requires meaningful structural reforms—a binding, enforceable Ethics Code and term limits for the Justices and Court rebalancing—which can only happen with Democratic control of Congress and the White House. 

The Christian right mandate guiding Trump’s Project 2025 guts reproductive rights by eliminating or restricting access to abortion, STD testing, birth control, surrogacy, IVF, chemotherapy for fertile women, and more. Its extreme anti-choice agenda curtails options, eliminates critical research funding, and recommends using police power to punish uncooperative healthcare providers.

If elected, Donald Trump will destroy public education as we know it. We need well-educated citizens to compete in the 21st-century economy, think critically, and defend our democratic values. Trump’s denial of knowledge about Project 2025 is simply a lie to protect his campaign from the expanding backlash as citizens learn its cruel, destructive details.

Americans value our freedoms, privacy, and democracy—all under attack in Project 2025, the far-right manifesto crafted by Trump’s inner circle to replace our multiracial democratic institutions and constitutionally protected rights and freedoms with Christian-based authoritarianism. We and our Members of Congress must continue to educate our friends and relatives about the horrors that await then should Trump win in November.

The GOP’s planned extremist agenda is propelling its war on women further along than ever, calling for a nationwide ban on abortion even for young girls who are victims of rape and incest and for the criminalization of reproductive services. Protect women and vote this party down.

The fundamental democratic right to vote is under fierce attack by the MAGA Supreme, its conservative allies in Congress and GOP-controlled state legislatures, who’ve unleashed a fierce campaign to disenfranchise people of color and Democratic leaning voters. We must neutralize these attacks and rebuild American democracy so our elections are free and fair for all citizens.

Using ideology rather than reasoned analysis, the Supreme Court’s unelected 6 MAGA Justices, ignoring Americans’ wants and needs, have created a king with the power to destroy his enemies, eviscerated the federal agencies that protect Americans from corporate overreaching, and made us less safe. They’ve done so by inventing legal doctrines and by ignoring the words of our Constitution and of statutes they dislike—all to please their corporate masters, who reward them with lavish unreported gifts and loans. It is long past time to rein them in.

Ironically, at the same time we’re preparing to celebrate our democracy, the Trump-created, corrupt, ethically challenged, anti-democratic, MAGA supermajority at the Supreme Court is spewing out opinions that mortally wound our government’s ability to operate smoothly and to protect our health, freedoms, and environment by precluding agency experts from creating and enforcing agency policies, that undermine the rule of law by granting Trump absolute immunity for crimes committed while President, and that interfere with the electoral process on Trump’s behalf. We and our Members of Congress must hold this power-grabbing Court accountable.
