WE CANNOT LET THE MAGA SUPREME COURT JUSTICES WIN
QUICK READ: Using ideology rather than reasoned analysis, the Supreme Court’s unelected 6 MAGA Justices, ignoring Americans’ wants and needs, have created a king with the power to destroy his enemies, eviscerated the federal agencies that protect Americans from corporate overreaching, and made us less safe. They’ve done so by inventing legal doctrines and by ignoring the words of our Constitution and of statutes they dislike—all to please their corporate masters, who reward them with lavish unreported gifts and loans. It is long past time to rein them in.

BACKGROUND
One year after eliminating women’s constitutionally protected bodily autonomy, the unelected, corrupt MAGA Justices continued their efforts to fundamentally restructure our government and society to suit the ideological preferences of the billionaires who’ve bought and paid for them and to cement the judiciary’s power over the two elected governmental branches:
· Granting Trump sweeping immunity from prosecution by placing the President above the law;
· Overturning the convictions of numerous January 6 insurrectionists by narrowly defining obstruction;
· Giving courts the power to eliminate thousands of regulations created by experts to protect us from corporations endangering our health, safety, and pocketbooks;
· Stripping federal agencies of their ability to use in-house tribunals to enforce rules against corporate wrongdoers;
· Allowing businesses to try overturning long-established agency rules they don’t like;
· Stopping the EPA from preventing downwind pollution under its emergency jurisdiction;
· Legalizing bribery of public officials;
· Making gerrymandering easier;
· Making us less safe by legalizing bump stocks;
· Returning two abortion cases to lower courts to avoid rulings harmful to the GOP’s chances in November.
To fix the widespread damage caused by the corrupt supermajority’s judicial power grab and to restore SCOTUS’ accountability, integrity, and constitutionally limited authority, Congress must, at a minimum, start laying the ground for term limits, a firm, enforceable ethics code, and court expansion.
