If elected, Donald Trump will destroy public education as we know it. We need well-educated citizens to compete in the 21st-century economy, think critically, and defend our democratic values. Trump’s denial of knowledge about Project 2025 is simply a lie to protect his campaign from the expanding backlash as citizens learn its cruel, destructive details.

Americans value our freedoms, privacy, and democracy—all under attack in Project 2025, the far-right manifesto crafted by Trump’s inner circle to replace our multiracial democratic institutions and constitutionally protected rights and freedoms with Christian-based authoritarianism. We and our Members of Congress must continue to educate our friends and relatives about the horrors that await then should Trump win in November.

The GOP’s planned extremist agenda is propelling its war on women further along than ever, calling for a nationwide ban on abortion even for young girls who are victims of rape and incest and for the criminalization of reproductive services. Protect women and vote this party down.

The fundamental democratic right to vote is under fierce attack by the MAGA Supreme, its conservative allies in Congress and GOP-controlled state legislatures, who’ve unleashed a fierce campaign to disenfranchise people of color and Democratic leaning voters. We must neutralize these attacks and rebuild American democracy so our elections are free and fair for all citizens.

Using ideology rather than reasoned analysis, the Supreme Court’s unelected 6 MAGA Justices, ignoring Americans’ wants and needs, have created a king with the power to destroy his enemies, eviscerated the federal agencies that protect Americans from corporate overreaching, and made us less safe. They’ve done so by inventing legal doctrines and by ignoring the words of our Constitution and of statutes they dislike—all to please their corporate masters, who reward them with lavish unreported gifts and loans. It is long past time to rein them in.

Ironically, at the same time we’re preparing to celebrate our democracy, the Trump-created, corrupt, ethically challenged, anti-democratic, MAGA supermajority at the Supreme Court is spewing out opinions that mortally wound our government’s ability to operate smoothly and to protect our health, freedoms, and environment by precluding agency experts from creating and enforcing agency policies, that undermine the rule of law by granting Trump absolute immunity for crimes committed while President, and that interfere with the electoral process on Trump’s behalf. We and our Members of Congress must hold this power-grabbing Court accountable.

It is long past time to dismantle the zombie Comstock Act before it can be used by a future Trump administration to effectively ban abortion nationwide—even in states that contain protections in their state constitutions. Bringing the Stop Comstock Act up for a vote will remind Americans about the fragility of reproductive freedom and the importance of the upcoming election.

It is well past time to declare dangerous ,and devote resources to combat and fully dismantle, rightwing domestic terrorists like the Proud Boys. We are on the precipice of possibly reelecting an openly racist candidate who has signaled repeatedly that our homegrown rightwing hate groups are his “brown shirts.”

Elections have consequences. Had Trump not suppressed Stormy Daniels’ story, he might have lost the election. The three SCOTUS appointments would have been Democrats, ensuring that its Democratic supermajority would have summarily rejected Trump’s absurd claim of absolute immunity and that its reputation would not have been destroyed.

GOP candidate and convicted felon Donald Trump was found guilty 34 times by a jury of his peers. The trial was about election fraud and denying American voters relevant information just before the 2016 election—not about hush money and adultery. MAGA Republicans responded to the verdict by denigrating the justice system in a reckless and dangerous anti-constitutional display that we must refute collectively, loudly, and repeatedly.

Corrupt Justices Alito’s and Thomas’ direct ties to the January 6 insurrection create clear actual or perceived conflicts of interest that make them unfit to rule fairly over pending January 6 cases and Trump’s absurd claim of absolute immunity. Their failure to recuse, or be forced to recuse by Chief Justice Roberts, suggests SCOTUS cannot fairly decide these cases and demands immediate action from Congress.
