CORRUPT SUPREME COURT JUSTICES MUST RECUSE FROM JAN. 6 CASES
Corrupt Justices Alito’s and Thomas’ direct ties to the January 6 insurrection create clear actual or perceived conflicts of interest that make them unfit to rule fairly over pending January 6 cases and Trump’s absurd claim of absolute immunity. Their failure to recuse, or be forced to recuse by Chief Justice Roberts, suggests SCOTUS cannot fairly decide these cases and demands immediate action from Congress.
PASS THE EQUALITY ACT NOW
Responding to pro-Palestinian activism on college campuses, Republicans, long purveyors of antisemitism, pushed through the House legislation conflating political opposition to Israeli policies with antisemitism. The Senate must kill this legislation, which violates the First Amendment’s protection of free speech and actually supports stereotypes against Jews.
ALL HATE SPEECH IS CONDEMNABLE, BUT MOST IS CONSTITUTIONALLY PROTECTED

IF WE CAN’T EAT THEM, AT LEAST WE CAN TAX THEM!
“America’s tax code is riddled with loopholes that allow the ultra-wealthy to get away without paying their fair share.” Senator Ron Wyden’s Billionaires Income Tax Act would end “buy, borrow, die” loopholes by applying tax codes to fewer than 1000 of America’s wealthiest people thereby generating billions for Social Security and Medicare.
THE CLIMATE CRISIS IS ON THE BALLOT
Violence and anti-gay legislation have increased dramatically. Congress must pass the stalled Equality Act without further delay.
JUSTICE DELAYED IS DEMOCRACY DESTROYED: SCOTUS MUST ISSUE A SPEEDY PRESIDENTIAL IMMUNITY DECISION
American voters deserve to know whether Trump is guilty of fomenting the January 6 insurrection before going to the polls to choose our next President. On April 25, through coordinated posts on social media, we're demanding that SCOTUS issue its immunity opinion by May 20th, which would enable the trial over Trump’s attempted 2020 insurrection to reach a verdict before election day.
The Federal Judiciary’s Composition Is on November’s Ballot
Do you want a federal judiciary that favors corporations over people or one that acts as the last line of defense ordinary people have against the power of corporations and the State? The answer to that question will impact your children and grandchildren.
Enough is Enough: We Need Peace in the Middle East
We cannot ignore the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Demanding an immediate ceasefire is necessary but not sufficient. The Biden Administration must end military aid to the far-right Netanyahu regime and renew its provision of humanitarian assistance.
Pass The Freedom to Vote Act Now!
We need to pass the Freedom to Vote Act now. The bill’s aim: make voting in federal elections easier and counter fraudulent actions and barriers to legal voting. This is the political model of representative democracy to which citizens have long agreed.
ARE WE BETTER OFF ECONOMICALLY TODAY THAN WHEN BIDEN TOOK OFFICE? ABSOLUTELY YES
When Biden took office, the pandemic was raging, and our economy was on life-support. In just 3 years, he rescued the economy, revived our infrastructure and manufacturing sector, created millions of good-paying jobs, slashed childhood poverty, and lowered the costs of families’ everyday expenses. Giving him a second term and a Democratic Congress will improve our lives even more. Americans deserve no less.
We Must Stand United against A Second Trump Administration
When progressives fracture, the right always wins. The November election will be the most consequential election of our lifetime. We cannot allow legitimate differences about policy to open up the door to a second Trump presidency.
Biden’s State of the Union Address: A Tale of Two World Views
Every morning President Biden awakens and asks: “What I can do to improve the lives of the American people?” Trump, by contrast, asks, “How can I increase my wealth and power and punish my enemies?” In his State of the Union address to the American people last Thursday, the President stressed their very different world views, values, policies, and future plans.
DEMS vs. GOP: PROTECTING REPRODUCTIVE FREEDOM
“The disregard for women’s ability to make [reproductive] decisions for themselves and their families is outrageous and unacceptable. . . .The vice president and I are fighting for your rights. . .and we won’t stop until we restore the protections of Roe v. Wade in federal law for all women in every state.”

Biden vs. Trump on Gun Violence: Reform or Backtracking from the Status Quo?
Biden’s and Trump’s responses to the Kansas City shooting were starkly different. Biden immediately decried “epidemic” gun violence: “Today’s events should…shock us…into acting. What are we waiting for?” Trump, by contrast, attended a gun rally and bragged that, while president, “nobody took control of our Second Amendment [and] nothing happened.”
GAZA NEEDS HUMANITARIAN AID NOW
Netanyahu’s right-wing extremist government has the right to respond to Hamas’ horrific October 7th attacks, which constituted war crimes and violated international law, but not itself to commit war crimes against the Palestinian people. Congress’ decision pulling all funding from UNRWA, the only agency capable of distributing humanitarian aid, will create even more suffering, starvation, and disease in Gaza and must be reversed. The continuing carnage must stop.
