“[W]e pledge to… root out the Communists, Marxists, Fascists, and Radical Left Thugs that live like vermin…and will…destroy America….Our threat is from within.” When Trump employs Nazi-talk alongside plans to round up immigrants in mass detention camps by the millions, we need to take him dead seriously.

A single ammunition plant in Missouri is one of the world’s biggest producers of AR-15-style gun ammunition. It has sold millions of rounds that have been used in mass shootings and violent crimes. And our taxes are paying for it because this plant is owned and operated by the US Army.

At this critical moment in history, MAGA obstructionists are intent on subverting U.S policy in the Middle East and Ukraine. Last week Mike Johnson, the new MAGA House Speaker, proposed eliminating both additional military aid to Israel and Ukraine and humanitarian assistance to the people of Gaza.

On September 30, Congress gave itself six more weeks to fund the government, but the House GOP spent almost all of October at war with itself. Now, with only 10 days to avoid another government shutdown, it’s time for MAGA Republicans to accept reality, agreeing to another short-term continuing resolution at 2023 funding levels and promising to draft legislation conforming to the budget framework enacted in June, as the Senate is doing.

Faced with large influxes of migrants and a “crisis” manufactured by MAGA governors sending them to blue states, Biden’s forgotten his promises to create a just, humane immigration system. It is up to Congress to pass legislation that treats migrants with compassion and dignity.

The chaos following the removal of Speaker McCarthy has taken attention away from corrupt members of Congress who must also go. The presence of Congressmen George Santos and Senators Menendez and Tuberville pose a serious threat to our democracy and national security. 

It is well past time to declare the Proud Boys a dangerous, fascist group of domestic terrorists who repudiate democracy and prepare for violent aggression.

The Supreme Court’s MAGA supermajority, installed by and beholden to the Federalist Society, demonstrates daily by their behavior and rulings the desperate need for Court reform. Corrupt, right-wing justices, entangled in countless ethics scandals, put corporate interests over the rights of the American people and are destroying our democracy. It is long past time for Congress to restore balance and integrity to the judicial branch.

Congress has given itself six more weeks to fund the government. It’s time for MAGA Republicans to stop the chaos, accept the budget framework Congress passed in June, and let Congress do its job.

The brutal war in Ukraine is at a critical juncture. Kyiv needs advanced weapon systems to help drive out the Russian invaders and diminish Putin’s imperialist ambitions. The Biden administration must disregard MAGA Republicans’ efforts to block additional military assistance.

MAGA Republicans are still threatening to shut down the government unless they get the deep spending cuts they sought during the debt-ceiling standoff. But now, they’re also seeking passage of a wish list of hot-button positions and put more energy into kowtowing to Trump’s demand that Biden be investigated than in actually governing. As all this clearly demonstrates, MAGA Republicans want chaos, while Democrats want to pass legislation that protects working Americans.

The world is facing an unprecedented global environmental crisis and the Biden Administration must do much more to mitigate this existential threat. Declaring a Climate Emergency should just be the beginning.

Republicans do not love America. They attack our core principles while calling themselves freedom-loving patriots. We should attack their phony claims and call out their hypocrisy. We defend the rule of law, democracy, and free elections. Not them.

Record heat waves in the South and Midwest? Deadly wildfires Maui and Canada? Catastrophic storms in Texas and California? Smog-covered cities all over? The Inflation Reduction Act, passed with only Democratic votes, is incentivizing green-energy projects that will rein in greenhouse gas emissions and fight climate change.

To protect the Supreme Court’s legitimacy, the egregious corruption of Clarence Thomas and the other MAGA Justices demands immediate Congressional action
