Background

President Biden’s pandemic relief plan is bold and bipartisan.  It helps people of all parties with:

  • Relief checks

  • Increased unemployment assistance

  •  $15/hr federal minimum wage -        Extending eviction/foreclosure moratoriums

  • Billions in state and local government aid

  • Billions for school reopening.

Economic experts urge support. People from both parties agree with approximately 80% of both parties support:

  • Pandemic relief bill

  • Stimulus bill

  • Expanding federal aid for pandemic testing, vaccines, PPE

Congressional GOP unilaterally passed tax cuts for their donors and corporations last year but they now propose a pandemic relief bill that hurts all of us by slashing Biden’s pandemic plan including:

  • No Federal minimum wage increase

  • Cutting who is eligible for relief checks

  • Cutting the amount of relief checks.

  • Cutting the amount of unemployment insurance

  • Cutting weeks of unemployment insurance

  • Nothing for state/local governments

Now is the time for Biden’s Bold Bipartisan pandemic plan.  Senator Wyden said it best “The package outlined by the 10 Senate Republicans is far too small to provide relief the American people need.”

Call Congress to make sure they understand this and pass Biden’s Bold Bipartisan pandemic relief plan.
