SENATE DEMOCRATS MUST UNITE AGAINST TRUMP’S WORST NOMINEES
QUICK READ: Americans deserve leaders who will prioritize the needs of everyday people over Trump’s need for revenge against his perceived enemies and his debts to extremists, his billionaire friends, and the special interests chafing at government regulations . Our MoCs must use their role in the nomination process to shape the narrative and explain to the American people how Trump’s nominees, if confirmed, will use their power to serve his interests rather than ours.
CONTENTS:
BACKGROUND
The main qualifications of the dangerous, extreme, and unqualified nominees Trump’s chosen to lead federal agencies touching every aspect of our lives are:
Willingness to lie about the 2020 election
Promising to protect Trump, his billionaire friends, and the special interests chafing at government regulations while targeting his perceived enemies.
If confirmed, they’ll
Undermine the safety of our children and families;
Erode public trust in our justice system;
Prioritize the interests of extremists and corporations over the needs of everyday people.
During confirmation hearings or later on the Senate floor, Senators are constitutionally required to expose their
Incompetence and dangerousness;
Intention to implement Project 2025, turning America into a Christian nation;
Use of power to enrich Trump and his cronies at our expense;
Complete lack of concern for the issues facing ordinary Americans and marginalized communities;
Threat to our national security here and abroad.
Democrats almost prevented Hegseth’s confirmation, which elicited a threat from Trump to punish future defectors, and they may possibly prevent confirmation of other dangerous nominees, like RFK, Jr. (HHS), Tash Patel (FBI), Tulsi Gabbard (NSA), Russell Vought (OMB), Pam Bondi (A-G), Linda McMahon (Education).
This week, they’ll get their first crack in committee at Kennedy, Patel, and Gabbard and will vote whether to send Bondi and Vought to the Senate floor.
Democrats must use these opportunities to shape the narrative and explain to the American people how Trump’s nominees, if confirmed, will use their power to serve his interests rather than ours.
ACTION One: Call the Senate.

During the Presidential campaign, Democrats argued Trump was a danger to democracy who would use the White House to exact revenge on his political adversaries. Although his actions this week clearly demonstrate that, Senate Democrats are voting for those who will implement that agenda. Please educate your colleagues about the message they’re sending, use the nomination process to explain to the American people how Trump’s nominees, if confirmed, will use their power to serve his interests rather than ours, and convince them to vote against unqualified and compromised nominees who intend to disrupt the agencies they’ll oversee, such as RFK Jr., Kash Patel, Tulsi Gabbard, Russell Vought, Linda McMahon, and Pam Bondi.

As your constituent, I demand that you ignore Trump’s attempts to intimidate you. Rubber-stamping dangerous nominees isn’t just bad policy, it’s also bad politics. Your constituents are watching and expect you to carry out your duty to advise and consent with an open mind, refusing to confirm nominees who are dangerous, hold positions well outside the mainstream, falsely claim Trump won the 2020 election, and will serve Trump rather than the American people.
