THE GOP WILL BRUTALIZE THE MIDDLE CLASS AND (further) ENRICH THE RICH
The Republican’s stated policies would be a disaster economically, globally and morally.
QUICK READ: Usually, Republicans hide their economic agenda until after the election. Not this time. It’s all on display now. In sum, it would hammer the vulnerable and boost the rich and, oh yes, sacrifice Ukraine. Everyone should be clear about who and what they are voting for
CONTENTS:
BACKGROUND
Usually, during campaigns, Republican candidates wave the flag, vilify the opposition, and skip details about their plans. But their plans have leaked. Here are some of the topline features:
Cut Social Security and Medicare
Repeal provisions that will lower prescription drug costs.
Support Putin by cutting aid to Ukraine
Extend Trump’s tax cuts for the rich (thus feeding inflation)
Slash funding for the IRS (ending its plan to focus on the rich)
Inflation is their wrecking ball. While presidents have little control over inflation, Republicans know that misinformed voters may blame Biden. For Republicans, the more they can attribute inflation to Democrats, the better.
Even if Republicans don’t win a majority, they plan to hold hostage the debt ceiling to again force through their agenda.
And much more.
The goal is to block or even roll back Biden’s agenda. Gone would be already enacted bills for rebuilding America after the disasters of Covid and Trump, then give the rich more riches while slashing the freedoms of the rest of us.
We can’t let that be our children’s future. Democrats want to govern for all of us, not just the rich and powerful. Let’s get them elected.
