DEMOCRATS WIN FIGHT FOR ALL AMERICANS – ESPECIALLY ON CLIMATE!
Among other winners, the funds set the US on a course to adapt to, and then reduce, the impacts of global warming.
QUICK READ: President Biden’s signing of the Inflation Reduction Act should give us confidence that America will respond to challenges, not by distorting them for political gain, but with reason and compassion for the good of all Americans.

BACKGROUND
The $790 billion Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) signed by President Biden reveals what drives Democrats: a better future for all Americans.
The largest chunk of money goes to address climate change.
This legislation will confront a threat that is less hypothetical by the day. Climate change is happening, as 97% of the world’s global warming scientists agree. A united Democratic party passed the bill to begin to make life better for the vast majority of Americans.
To respond to the perils fast approaching humanity, billions are allocated to protect homes and communities, with billions more for auto and energy industries to transfer to renewable energies.
To pay for these programs, new taxes are imposed only on people making more than $400,000 annually and billion dollar corporations.
The confusingly named bill also contains billions to lower drug prices and extend health care subsidies.
Oh, and the nation’s budget deficit will be reduced by more than $305 billion.
Fundamentally, the IRA should give us confidence that America will respond to challenges, not by distorting them for political gain, but with reason and compassion for the good of all Americans.

This is an accomplishment for all Democrats, and all Americans. Please keep spreading the good news, to bring hope to Americans and to fight the GOP’s distortions and lies.

I am bitterly disappointed that you have chosen to blindly follow the direction of your GOP leaders. This displays a real ignorance of climate science. It also shows you have put the will of the people beneath the direction of your GOP leaders.

You defended your vote against the IRA as follows: "Today I voted no on massive spending, an increase in taxes, and the hiring of an additional 87,000 IRS agents," This displays a real ignorance of climate science. It also shows you have put the will of the people beneath the direction of your GOP leaders.
