UKRAINE IS FIGHTING FOR ALL OF US

Ukrainians are defending not only their nation, but Putin’s threats to NATO, all of Europe, and the global world order.

QUICK READ:  The heroic resolve of Ukrainians to defend their homeland is part of a much larger struggle between democracy and dictatorship. We must call out Putin’s invasion of Ukraine and vigorously support the Biden Administration’s commitment to defend Ukraine, NATO and the G-7. While protecting democracy here and abroad will come with a cost, we must accept this challenge.

TAKE ACTION NOW:

BACKGROUND

Ukrainians and Americans have the right to choose their leaders and their future.

When Ukrainians frustrated Putin’s initial plans to swiftly overrun the country, in frustration, he launched his scorched-earth policy aimed at breaking their resolve

  • Brutal attacks against unarmed civilians in Kyiv and Kharkiv

  • Intensive use of cluster-bombs, missiles, and long-range munitions to cause maximum    damage in urban areas

But Ukrainians continue fighting with whatever weapons they have at their disposal.

These patriots are  not only defending their nation, but Putin’s threats to NATO, all of Europe, and the global world order.

Economic sanctions are already taking their toll

  • The Ruble has crashed.

  • Interest rates have jumped 20%

Putin’s Russia is now a pariah state, isolated diplomatically—even by neutral countries like Switzerland and Finland.

And his imperialist policies are opposed by most Russians.

Nevertheless, Putin Republicans, led by Trump, continue to worship him and denigrate American democracy.

That’s unsurprising, given Trump’s long history of coddling dictators, trashing NATO, and  trying to subvert Zelensky ‘s government.

Trump’s also unleashed multi-pronged attacks on American democracy---promoting his “Big Lie,” supporting  white supremacist armed militias, and orchestrating the insurrection.

We are at a critical juncture which demands immediate action.
