Background

Building upon decades of research, scientists have produced a safe and effective vaccine that will help end this pandemic. Public health officials are ecstatic about how well it works.

To make sure that everyone gets the vaccine Congress must act. They must pass a COVID relief package with:

Public health money for vaccine distribution.
Stimulus checks.
Unemployment insurance.
Eviction moratoriums.

Mitch McConnell won’t let us have this. He is holding up the COVID relief package –money for vaccine distribution, money for food, money for housing - because he wants to protect his donors.

Mitch McConnell stays in power through corporate donations. Corporations that want to be able to make us work without COVID protections; when we get sick from COVID, they want a shield from legal consequences. Mitch McConnell is bargaining our lives away for his donors’ bottom line.

We deserve to have this safe and effective vaccine – and we need public health money to distribute it. We deserve to have our tax dollars help us as stimulus check and unemployment – so we can eat and stay in our homes.
