Background

We must unite for justice against insurrection and white supremacy. Only then can we come together, move forward with COVID relief, and strengthen our democracy with bills like the HR 1 For the People Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Act.

Former President Trump incited insurrection. Senators Cruz, Hawley, and 145 other MoCs incited insurrection with him. They lied about the election, tried to throw out Black votes, and refuse to take responsibility for their actions. Today articles of impeachment are being delivered to the Senate. Congress must unify for justice against insurrection – convict Trump and expel seditious Members of Congress.

Mitch McConnell stokes division for his own gain. He refuses to give up power unless he is given the right to keep using the filibuster – which means no COVID relief, no strengthening our democracy. The filibuster was created to help slave states keep power and as a cudgel to stop civil rights legislation. McConnell now uses it to uphold white supremacy minority rule. Congress must unify for justice against white supremacy – abolish the filibuster.

Democrats are ready to unite for #JusticeForUS against insurrection and white supremacy. Republicans must join them. Together we can create justice for all.
