Keep Fighting to Save The Post Office

Background

We all deserve to live in a country with a working post office, right? Instead, 70+ days before a national election, we are calling Congress daily, holding rallies, and demanding that the post office be saved.

We got our wish—partly. As national outrage intensified, Speaker Pelosi brought the House back from recess. On Saturday she engineered a rare bipartisan vote to protect the USPS from any changes before the election and to guarantee $25 billion in aid.

But McConnell declared the House bill DOA. The President said he will veto it. The election clock is ticking. What do we do now?

We need to keep making noise. House hearings begin today. Pelosi has stated point blank that DeJoy is not with the program. DeJoy must resign. Mail delivery must return to speed. Recent changes must be reversed.

And we need to keep working on the elections. Phonebank. Write letters and postcards to voters. Donate. Dump Trump. Ditch Mitch. Save America. And tell everyone, on every social media platform: Vote early!

The Republican Party crossed the line by trying to help the Postmaster General’s weaken the USPS before the most consequential election of our time. You can still make a difference. Stand up. Speak out. Call for the Senate to vote on the House bill to save the postal service.
