FRIDAY RECAP: Nov. 4, 2022
Note: We will be taking a break after Election Day, so this Daily Action will be the last one for a little while. We’ll be back, for sure, in January. Indivisible Oregon has been producing these Daily Actions for six years. It has been our pleasure and our chosen duty to gather, assess and provide information you can trust. Now, we need to recharge because, whichever way the election goes, this country is going to need informed citizens. MAGA is a continuing threat to our way of life and the principles that guide us as we strive to form a more perfect union.
Now, this week’s Daily Actions:
november 1: IT’S THE ECONOMY, STUPID
This election is “a choice between two vastly different visions for America. Democrats are building a better America for everyone with an economy that grows from the bottom up and the middle out, where everyone does well. Republicans are doubling down on their mega MAGA trickle-down economics that benefits the very wealthy.” President Biden, October 27, 2022. Check out Tuesdays’ DA.
November 2: BIDEN’S GLOBAL FIGHT FOR DEMOCRACY
President Biden’s foreign policies, particularly with regards to Ukraine, have been extremely successful even though he does not always receive credit for them. ONLY THE DEMOCRATS WILL FIGHT INFLATION AND CONTINUE WORKING TO IMPROVE OUR LIVES. Wednesday’s DA is here
November 3: DEMOCRACY IS ON THE BALlOT
President Biden said on Wednesday: “I wish I could say the assault on our democracy ended [on January 6]. But I cannot. As I stand here today, there are candidates running for every level of office in America: for Governor, for Congress, for Attorney General, for Secretary of State, who won't commit to accepting the results of the elections they're in. That is the path to chaos in America. It's unprecedented. It's unlawful. And, it is un-American . . . " Read Thursday’s DA here.
Democrats have just five days left to convince the American electorate that they, alone, have the will to combat corporate greed (which is fueling inflation), to ensure that we all have the right to economic security, and to protect our fundamental freedoms (including abortion), our democracy, our voting rights, the integrity of our elections and the peaceful transfer of power.
Please choose one or more of the topics above, or any other concerns, and call your Members of Congress.
