FRIDAY RECAP: August 19, 2022

President Biden and Congressional Democrats are on a roll, and the Democrats’ chances of retaining control of Congress are improving. The House passed, and the President signed, the Inflation Reduction Act, and they are getting ready to sell it to the American people. You can help in this endeavor by educating your friends and family about how the IRA will benefit you and the environment, after reading “How the Inflation Reduction Act might affect you — and change the U.S.” and “What the Inflation Reduction Act Means for Climate.”

The IRA, however, is only the most recent of Biden’s and the Democrats’ achievements. For a list of the most significant legislation and executive actions, check out August 16’s Daily Action, “Biden and Democrats Have Our Backs.” You can use your refreshed recollections to tell your friends and family about all the good things Democrats have done for America in Biden’s first 18 months. It is also imperative that you remind your Members of Congress how important it is for them to keep taking about these achievements between now and November so American voters will understand what their votes can actually get them.

And, don’t forget to keep pushing for student loan forgiveness, which will also help American families increase their economic stability.
