FRIDAY RECAP: February 25, 2022
Even as Europe careens into war, we still need to press our Members of Congress to move forward on progressive legislation.
Congress may still be in recess, but their staff continue to record our concerns and pass them on–which makes our daily calls all the more important.
Our MoCs are also pivoting towards the upcoming midterms. We must urge them to sharpen their message and regularly repeat it–outlining Democratic successes in terms the electorate understands and clearly painting the massive differences between them and obstructionist Republicans who’ve stalled necessary legislation in the Senate.
On Monday, the Senate will vote on The Women’s Health Protection Act (S.1975) safeguarding abortion nationwide–requiring an additional call.
So, no matter how often you’ve called this week, commit to calling some more. And whatever the script, keep stressing the need to remind voters how Dems are working to improve our lives.
