VOTE “NO” ON THE SAVE ACT: PREVENT MAGA REGIME FROM SILENCING VOTERS
QUICK READ: Political parties court your vote; authoritarian regimes prevent you from voting altogether. With Trump’s unconstitutional Executive Order and the SAVE Act, the MAGA regime’s rewriting the voting eligibility rules to silence the voices of veterans, seniors, students, working families, and communities of color because they don’t want us to have a say in decisions affecting our lives. We cannot let this happen.

BACKGROUND
In America voters pick our leaders; politicians can’t pick which voters to allow and which to silence.
Just days ago, however, the Trump regime issued an illegal and unconstitutional Executive Order (EO) claiming the power to take away our freedom to vote and decide our futures. It and the MAGA Republicans pushing the SAVE Act (HR.22/S.128) are trying to disenfranchise many millions, by requiring proof of citizenship in person with either a passport or birth certificate matching their legal name—costly-to-obtain documents millions lack—when registering to vote, moving, or changing party affiliation.
The ramifications are enormous:
--146 million working-class and low-income Americans don’t have passports—huge, given only 153 million voted in 2024.
--Since 84% of women change their names when marrying, 69 million couldn’t register with birth certificates due to unmatching surnames.
--Online voter registration (used by 10.8 million in 42 states in 2022 ) and mailed-in applications (used by 7.3 million) would disappear.
--Because only 5.9% of the 80.1 million registering or updating registrations in 2022 did so in person, forcing many millions to visit overcrowded local election offices every cycle would significantly decrease voting.
MAGA extremists, knowing most Americans support higher wages, affordable healthcare, strong public schools, and fair taxation of billionaires—which they oppose—instead of winning our votes, are trying to stop veterans, seniors, students, and working families from casting them.
Our MoCs cannot let this happen. A vote on the SAVE Act is imminent, and I expect you to defeat it.
ACTION One: Call the Senate.

The MAGA regime wants to rewrite the rules to block us from voting because they know that when we all participate, we elect leaders who work for us, not just for the rich and powerful. Congress must immediately pass a resolution rejecting Trump’s voter suppressing EO, making clear that he has no authority to dictate federal or state election law. Then, you must work tirelessly in the Senate to defeat the SAVE Act (S.128) when it’s up for a vote—legislation creating unnecessary obstacles for many millions of eligible Americans trying to register to vote.
