TRUMP ATTACKED ELECTION OFFICIALS AFTER REALIZING HE LOST

Trump had his minions intimidated and attacked election officials and workers to turn enough votes around so he could take the election (illegally).

QUICK READ: During its fourth public hearing the January 6 Committee presented gripping testimony of the aggressive effort launched by Trump and his co-conspirators within weeks of the 2020 election to convince state election officials of their “mistaken” vote counting.

TAKE ACTION NOW:

BACKGROUND

Senior state Republicans from Arizona and Georgia testified yesterday about pressure by the White House to “find” enough votes to reelect Trump.

Despite telling Trump over and over that there was no widespread fraud and that Joe Biden would be declared the winner, Trump insisted, without evidence, that miscounting ballots had cost him the election. Trump told Georgia officials: “I just want to find 11,780 votes, which is one more than we have.”

Specifically, he accused two Black election workers, Shaye Moss and her mother Ruby Freeman, of harvesting votes more than a dozen times during the call and published their names and addresses to his followers. Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani had previously claimed that Moss and Freeman were “passing around USB sticks full of doctored votes” which Moss testified was really gum.

Moss gained 60 pounds as a result of this harassment, and both were forced to go into hiding to protect themselves from Trump’s mobs.Trump’s troops even invaded Moss’s grandmother’s home, seeking to make a “citizen’s arrest.”

“Pressuring public servants into betraying their oaths was a fundamental part of the [Trump] playbook,” committee chairman Rep. Bennie Thompson said of Trump and his allies.

At the end of the hearing, panel members left the dais and, one by one, lined up to thank and hug Moss and Freeman.
