REPUBLICANS ARE MORE LIKELY TO DIE FROM COVID
The GOP is spreading misinformation and it’s killing people
QUICK READ: Covid savagely attacks unvaccinated adults, who are more likely to be Republicans. Data from the Centers for Disease Control also confirms that more White Americans now die from Covid than Black Americans, who were, at one time, three times more likely to die. The increasing threat especially to White Republicans is likely the result of the GOP’s campaign against government and experts while promoting what they sold as “individual choice.” We need to fight against lies for the lives of all Americans.

BACKGROUND
The US has the highest Covid death toll in the world, with one million people who died of Covid. It has caused life-expectancy rates here to drop two years in a row, from 79 to 76.1 years, while other high-income countries have experienced rebounds after initial Covid outbreaks.
Covid savagely attacks unvaccinated adults, who are more likely to be Republicans. Data from the Centers for Disease Control also confirms that more White Americans now die from Covid than Black Americans, who were, at one time, three times more likely to die.
The increasing threat especially to White Republicans is likely the result of the GOP’s campaign against government and experts while promoting what they sold as “individual choice.”
The shift to greater death rates among White Americans is a challenge for public health experts dealing with communities ideologically opposed to vaccines and masks.
Even with another wave of Covid expected in the months ahead, vaccination rates with new boosters are low.
Republicans have hit on a public relations program that works well for them, generating enormous distrust of our government and its experts. The cost is already accumulating in the highest death rates now among the GOP. This horrifying treatment of their constituents must stop.
