REMARKABLY, GOOD GOVERNANCE WORKS
Recent Congressional bills signed into law by the President are designed to improve and strengthen the lives of all Americans.
QUICK READ: In normal times, when people are not constantly lied to or threatened, we would be sure the President was on an unstoppable roll from here to election day. But the MAGA megaphone has obscured the success our government is now enjoying at a time that is, even by historical standards, challenging.
CONTENTS:
BACKGROUND
Democrats in Congress have been churning out bills at a fast clip for the President to sign into law, including:
Safer Communities Act gun safety bill,
Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act of 2021,
CHIPS and Science Act to support the domestic semiconductor industry,
The PACT Act addressing the health consequences of toxic burn pits,
Approval of Finland and Sweden joining NATO.
Last week, President Biden signed the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) that addresses health care, drug pricing, climate issues, improvements at the IRS, and much more.
Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) says the President “has passed some of the most historic bills in American history.”
All this has given MAGA Republicans fits, causing them, as usual, to fight back with fabricated scare stories. For example, they claim that armed IRS agents are coming after them. Not true, but lies work well for MAGA Republicans.
The current MAGA target is the IRA and its massive $370 billion to slow climate change.
The IRA is estimated to reduce CO2 emissions by 40% by 2050, which is just short of the international climate goal of 50%.
All these Democratic achievements support Americans, while MAGA Republicans continue their lying and hate-filled rhetoric.
