It’s Not A Doorway Problem. It’s a 400 Million Gun Problem.

Don’t Normalize Bloodshed While 50 Senators Hold Us Hostage: Call. Them. Out.

QUICK READ: Why have we allowed the GOP to hijack our nation? Most Americans favor universal background checks. There are literally dozens of measures we could take tomorrow to decrease gun violence significantly. It’s not rocket science. 50 Senators will not budge—will not even vote—on reform. Call them out. Their hands are bloody.

TAKE ACTION NOW:

BACKGROUND

Ted Cruz thinks unlocked doors are killing us and wishes we’d spent $300 million to “harden schools” by stationing armed police before every classroom like maximum security prisons for tots. Never mind fire codes or the many armed security killed at our unending American massacres. This has never been about logic or safety.

It’s about guns, the gun lobby, and their champions, the GOP.

Why have we allowed the GOP to hijack our nation?

Most Americans favor universal background checks. There are dozens of measures we could take tomorrow to decrease gun violence significantly. It’s not rocket science. 50 Senators will not budge—will not even vote—on any substantive reform.

Any day now, the Supreme Court will likely take this a step further and prevent individual states from imposing gun control measures, thereby expanding upon a decades-long willful misinterpretation of the 2nd Amendment.

MAGA Republicans have fully internalized the NRA message to sell more guns without restriction and broadcast loyalty to the gun lobby after every new act of carnage. By every measure, America’s carnage is unique. Each new act of violence drives gun sales. Sales of guns drive violence.

We should all be hollering like Beto O’Rourke and Senator Murphy. Call your Representatives and demand they holler too.

ACTION One: Call the Senate.
