Democrats Need A Crash Course in Sales and Sound Bites
We Are The Party of Fairness and Facts Not Fears and Lies.
QUICK READ: Democrats need to present our accomplishments and strengths more clearly than we have in the past. So too, our Members of Congress must speak to successes and party unity rather than allow the GOP to control the discourse and define us.
TAKE ACTION NOW:
BACKGROUND
We need our Members of Congress to promote the accomplishments of the Biden-Harris administration and speak to the broader principles for which Democrats stand long before the midterms are upon us. We cannot allow either the GOP or the media to define us.
We are the party of fair elections, social justice, and reproductive freedom. We build infrastructure and use the federal government to solve problems around health care, climate change, and affordable housing. We invest in critical federal agencies to avoid foreclosure, expand access to higher education, and reduce student debt. We are also the party of child tax credits, pandemic relief funds, and job creation. We believe in the rule of law and have confirmed more federal judges in a single year than any administration since the Reagan era. We rejoined the Paris Climate Accords and rejected the Keystone XL Pipeline permit, the Muslim ban, and the racist 1776 Commission. We support “Dreamers.” We believe in science.
We have restored dignity to politics after many disgraceful years. What we are not is an obstructionist party of cynics who endorse violence and engage a daily circus of rhetoric in service to a wealthy few.
