Now, every day is January 6. MAGA’s slow-motion insurrection is erupting at all levels of government and has eroded confidence in every major public institution, including Congress, SCOTUS, the media, the educational system and even libraries.
The MAGA militants’ strategies for holding power include campaigns of culture wars, racism, and death threats, and the dismantling of voting rights and our election infrastructures,
Silencing the majority and denying them access to the political process are essential for a party representing a minority of voters and floundering with a dwindling base.
People unmoored by rapid technological and demographic shifts have become radicalized and more accepting of political violence.
You have the power to fight back
Withdraw support from companies financing the terrorist Members of Congress.
Demand your news sources cover the attack on democracy as the mortal threat it is.
Tell your MOCs to lead the fight for democracy, not just with their vote but with their voices, and push them to fund measures to combat extremism, like those Germany’s used effectively.
Demand your social media eliminate hate speech.
Join a January 6 vigil for democracy.
The path toward a better America begins by protecting the freedom to vote in fair elections. The Senate must immediately pass the election protection bills this month.
