TEXAS’S ABORTION BAN IS A WIN FOR THE RADICALS

BACKGROUND
As Republicans lost control of the federal government, they quietly captured 30 state legislatures and are now enacting laws that the Rabid Right loves, like Texas’s new ban on abortions.
They are also dismantling the right to vote, undermining confidence in elections with kabuki audits, increasing Covid risks by fighting sound recommendations, and battling even at school board meetings over masks and educators accused of violating their own cultural commandments.
They are emboldened by leaders and media threatening and even fomenting violence. It’s the Tea Party on steroids.
Anti-vaxxers are now protesting the infringement of their freedoms. They ignore that a person’s freedom doesn’t give them the right to endanger others.
Oddly, however, they unquestionably embrace a drug for horse parasites as an effective Covid medication but reject the FDA-approved vaccine.
They are also doing their damndest to eradicate abortion rights by making private citizens vigilantes against anyone who aids a woman to exercise her constitutional right to the privacy of her body.
What can we do? Spread the word that voting matters--for school board members, state legislators, and California’s governor. Then identify these outbursts in Oregon and do what you can to support those on the side of reason.

3. Take Action
Contact people in California and tell them to vote “no” on the recall and get all their friends to do likewise. If Newsome loses, and Senator Feinstein steps down for health reasons, a MAGA Republican would likely be appointed, and Democrats would lose control of the Senate.
