CONGRESS MUST INVESTIGATE LOUIS DE JOY WHO SUBERTED POSTAL SERVICE’S ROLE IN OUR DEMOCRACY

Background
As expected, the vote count continues—both in battleground states and those already called. Biden’s ahead in Arizona and Nevada and moving towards victory in Pennsylvania, Georgia and perhaps North Carolina.
We do know Biden has more paths to victory than Trump and has received more votes than any previous winning candidate—his 73+ million eclipsing Obama’s record of 69 million. The Senate’s composition awaits 2 special elections in Georgia on January 5, and down-ballot results remain murky.
Trump’s trying to highjack election by declaring victory and filing frivolous lawsuits. Ignoring this chatter, honest, hardworking election officials continue diligently going through remaining ballots one at a time to ensure that all votes are counted.
In that endeavor, they’ve been stymied by DeJoy, whom Trump installed to effectively subvert Postal Service’s role in protecting our democracy. By destroying its ability to promptly deliver mailed ballots, tens of thousands might not have been counted. And postal authorities ignored Tuesday’s judicial order to scour processing facilities early enough to deliver all unprocessed ballots before polls closed. We must demand that Congressional committees immediately investigate and hold DeJoy responsible.
In a democracy every vote counts, and every vote must be counted.
1. Call the Senate.

In our democracy, every vote matters, and every vote must be counted. Despite the generally smooth ballot counting operations, however, DeJoy’s policies, which destroyed the Postal Service’s ability to promptly deliver mailed ballots, subverted its role in protecting our democracy. Additionally, its supervisors blatantly ignored a court order to ensure that all ballots in its facilities be delivered in time to be counted. I demand that the Senate immediately investigate this travesty and hold DeJoy responsible.
