WE CAN HAVE LEADERSHIP THAT PROTECTS VOTING RIGHTS
Jump to today’s actions:
Background
It’s vital to our democracy that every vote is counted. Not only for this election but also for every election in the future.
When Joe Biden is inaugurated on January 20th, he and a new Democratic majority Senate can start working to ensure the integrity of our elections and to restore our system of checks and balances.
We can have:
Leadership that will no longer find time only to stack federal courts with right-wing disciples.
Leadership that will do their jobs and pass legislation for the benefit of every American, not just corporations and the wealthy.
Legislation that provides real pandemic relief. That protects and expands voting rights, fights governmental corruption, and increases campaign-finance transparency. That makes sure every eligible voter can cast their ballot safely.
For this to happen, we have to work for it now. We have to vote, and work to get out the vote. Right now.
A GOP installed Justice Barrett would have swung a 4-4 SCOTUS vote which just prevented a Republican attempt to upend Pennsylvania’s right to count absentee ballots mailed on time but arriving late.
Call Congress today.
Demand no SCOTUS confirmation until after the inauguration.
Demand that every vote gets counted.
