NO SUPREME COURT JUSTICE. NO SKIMPY COVID RELIEF.
Jump to today’s actions:
Background
Are you experiencing whiplash trying to keep up with Trump’s gyrations?
While in the hospital, Trump tweeted that the country needs another stimulus package. Yesterday, he shut down negotiations until after the election. As of this writing, he has offered to sign slivers of COVID relief, including a second $1,200 stimulus check to voters.
Pelosi dismissed the gambit. “All the President wants is his name on check.”
We need a stimulus package and we don’t need a Supreme Court Justice before the election. So call your Members of Congress. And then turn to election work.
We have 28 days left. As President Obama said, “Whatever you’ve done so far is not enough.”
If you are working on the elections, increase your load. If you haven’t started yet, join in now.
Indivisible Oregon adopted two states, Arizona and Georgia. Ballots dropped in Arizona yesterday. Georgians already have begun voting.
Democrats in these states need to help get out the vote and persuade undecided voters. Action #3 has phonebanking and phonebank training options. Letters to voters continues until Oct. 17 Let’s go.
1. Call the Senate.

From where I sit, it seems that you have one job in the Senate between now and the election: stop the appointment of a Supreme Court Justice. Rise up, and leave no stone unturned. There must be no confirmation before the election. (And if you have a chance to vote for a real stimulus package, that would be wonderful, too.) Thank you for your service.

Play fair. Vote against confirming a Supreme Court nominee before the election. This includes all procedural votes leading up to a final vote. No weighing. Just. Vote. No.
2. Call the House.

I am calling to say that I support the Democrats’ refusal to accept a few dollars of COVID relief in return for gutting liability laws, leaving state and local governments in the lurch, and generally gutting on our health care and economy. As this regime flails about, please:
Call out Trump's weakness in trying to hide the facts about the dangers of COVID and his own illness.
Keep calling for COVID relief now.
Publicly support our delegation as fights against a Supreme Court appointment until after the next inauguration.
Thank you for your service.

Your chances for redemption are running out. Support a real COVID relief package. Keep our economy from tanking further.
Insisting that there is no vote on Trump’s Supreme Court nominee until after the next inauguration.
